NEWTIV Handover: hand over your WordPress site if you disappear
Who is it for?
For freelancers, small businesses and non-profits whose site depends on a single person.
Keeps your site alive if you disappear: trusted people can take over after reminders and a period during which you can refuse, without ever receiving your password.
- up to 3 trusted people who accept by email; reminders 14, 7 and 1 day before the inactivity delay ends (30 to 180 days);
- access request confirmed by a code, a 3 to 14-day veto period, then a separate administrator account: your password is never shared;
- handover file (host, domain, subscriptions, contacts) encrypted in the browser with a passphrase: the server never sees it in clear;
- optional outside watch by ZAIA: if the site itself goes down, the owner then the trusted people are warned;
- expiry alerts for the domain name and the HTTPS certificate (30, 14, 7 and 1 day before);
- log of every step and WordPress privacy tools (export, erasure).

Frequently asked questions
What if I am just on holiday?
You get reminders 14, 7 and 1 day before the inactivity delay ends, and even after an access request you still have time to refuse. Simply logging in to the administration resets everything.
Do my trusted people receive my password?
No. If the handover goes all the way, a separate administrator account is created for them. Your own account and password are never touched.
Do I need a ZAIA account to use NEWTIV Handover?
No. Outside watch by ZAIA is optional and off by default.
